West Auckland Shooting – An unidentified woman has been reported dead after authorities responded to a shooting incident in West Auckland on Tuesday night. According to the report, Police have taken one person into custody following the shooting incident in Henderson.
Just before 9 o’clock in the evening, police were notified of allegations of a firearm being discharged at a location on Newington Road, according to a police spokesman. The victim received immediate first aid, but regrettably, she passed away on the spot. No information about the victim has been made public by the police at the time of this publication.
Overnight, there will be a police presence in the region. The police are reassuring the community that there won’t be an ongoing risk to the public. “While we are in the early stages of our inquiries we want to reassure the community we do not believe there to be an ongoing risk to the public.” According to the police spokesman.
Police have not also released any information about the suspect in custody. What led to the shooting is yet to be made known by the police.
*Two men charged with murder of West Auckland man*
Benjamin Mcintosh, a resident of West Auckland, was killed on June 5, 2022, and two individuals have been charged in his death. After being discovered in a serious state last Friday morning on Glendale Road in Glen Eden, Mcintosh passed away on Sunday in Auckland City Hospital.
Detective Inspector John Sutton, the Waitemat District Crime Manager, reported that two men, ages 23 and 25, had been accused of killing Mcintosh overnight. A 23-year-old woman has been charged with the murder as an accessory after the fact. What led to the fatal shooting of Benjamin Mcintosh was not made known.
The accusations follow a spectacular pursuit in Northland on June 9, 2022, during which police apprehended a man and a woman who were wanted for interrogation in connection with a homicide investigation.
