The collision took place at about 6:20 on the evening of May 21. The Adams County Coroner was called to the scene after two people riding on the motorcycle were found to have died. The collision is currently being looked into by the Conewago Township Police Department.

The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a person was killed in a dump truck crash near the Henrico County line. Deputies were summoned to the intersection of Cauthorne Road and Ashland Road at 11:30 a.m. for a reported two-vehicle crash. An SUV attempted to turn from a stop sign on Cauthorne Road to Ashland Road, according to officials. A dump truck going on Ashland Road hit it from the side as it turned.
When deputies arrived, they discovered that the SUV’s driver had died at the site. The dump truck driver suffered minor injuries. The dump truck was carrying 20 tons of asphalt, which poured onto the road as a result of the collision. As a result of the incident, both the east and west lanes of Ashland Road have been closed. Crash investigators from the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office are still on the scene. According to a representative for the Hanover Sheriff’s Office, the road will most certainly be closed for some time.
