Heather Cabibbo Obituary Floral Park, NY

Heather Cabibbo Obituary, Death : Heather Marie Cabibbo of Floral Park, New York, an Intensive Care Nurse at Northwell Manhasset Hospital has passed away unexpectedly at the age of 29, on March 26, 2022. Heather was born on Earth Day, April 22, 1992 in Staten Island, NY. Her first name was suggested by her eldest sister, five years old at the time.

Just this past June, she earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing Leadership from Stony Brook University, alongside her mother in the same program. She graduated from Adelphi University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing after attending Sacred Heart Academy and Our Lady of Victory School.

She worked as an Intensive Care Nurse for eight years at Northwell Manhasset Hospital, following the completion of a fellowship in the Neurological ICU. The prestigious AACN Beacon Award for Excellence was awarded to her intensive care unit in 2019 following Heather’s efforts as a writer on her unit’s nomination committee.

She is known for her infectious laughter. No one smiles or laughs like Heather. She was loved by all who knew her. She did not have a mean bone in her body. The light she emitted was rivaled only by her kindness.

She loved the outdoors, be it hiking a trail upstate or just walking around the West End after dinner. She loved tennis and Trader Joe’s. She loved driving in her car “Bruiser” accompanied by a loved one with the music on and a decaf latte. She adored her dog-daughter Bella. She loved wrap-around porches. She loved her partner; she loved her family; she loved her friends.

She is survived by her partner, Akshay Nigam, of Manhasset Hills; her parents, Marc Cabibbo and Susan Cabibbo; her sisters, Tracy Polcino and Allie Cabibbo; her brother-in-law, Mike Polcino; her niece and nephew, Margot and Michael Polcino; her grandparents, James and Bernice O’Neill; and her beloved and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

She will be missed by all and loved forever.
