Tragically a Hawthorne resident, 49-year-old Johnnie Thomas was found shot to death inside a vehicle in the Watts neighborhood of South Los Angeles. The victim was not identified as at the time he was shot dead.
According to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Lizeth Lomeli, the incident occurred at 11423 Alvaro St., near the Nickerson Gardens Skate Park, at 10:45 p.m. on Friday. After the investigations, the coroner’s office found out the identity of the deceased.

There has been no suspect yet, and police are still investigating the case, with hopes of getting to the roots of the incident.
