Harry Jenkins Death – Well-known Fox Chapel Basketball Coach Harry Jenkins of Pittsburgh has sadly passed away. He died on Wednesday 24th May 2023 surrounded by his beloved family who will forever miss him. He was announced dead by Fox Chapel Area Athletics on its social media handle saying “We mourn the loss of Harry Jenkins, a longtime Fox Chapel Area boys basketball coach”. The actual cause of his death has not been known at this time.
Harry Jenkins Career
Before transitioning to the job of assistant coach, Jenkins served as the interim head coach for a total of two seasons. Jenkins, who later became a retired educator, coached boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball at Fox Chapel High School for a combined total of 35 years, including 25 as the school’s head basketball coach. Jenkins is a former basketball player who attended Edinboro University. After graduating from there, she went on to work as an assistant coach for the women’s basketball team at Carnegie Mellon University for a period of three years.
When Harry Jenkins stepped down from his position as the boys varsity basketball coach in 2005, his time with Fox Chapel did not come to an end. Jenkins desired to locate a means by which the software could continue to advance and gamers from a variety of areas might be brought together. Jenkins, in collaboration with the high school, established a four-man league for former students and younger students who were interested in playing throughout the summer at the high school.

Prior to then, Jenkins had been a member of the coaching staff for both the varsity and the freshman teams. Anyone who had him as a friend would have been blessed beyond measure. He was the most generous and sincere human being you could ever wish to meet.
His inner being is made of pure gold. He was held in high regard because he was generous with his time and money and always put the needs of others before his own. In addition, he had a fantastic sense of humor, which was a plus. He was highly regarded as one of the best in his field since he was both a seasoned counselor and an excellent teacher.
