Harmony Abrams, a woman from California has reportedly passed away. The deceased was a strong athlete, whose passion for what she did drew people closer to her. She joined Koelen Andrews, as a co-captain, and birthed Nasty Women, the all-women’s league, and later formed within Varsity Gay League.
The date Abrams died has not been disclosed yet, and her cause of death has not been revealed too. Her friend Koelen Andrews who is so pained about her exit has expressed his grief on his Facebook page.
“I’m shocked and heartbroken to learn of the sudden passing of my friend Harmony Abrams. Before I was mowed down by a cable van and so injured that I could no longer be a gaythete, I captained nearly 100 people in Varsity Gay League: Los Angeles across 8 consecutive seasons of kickball.
“After attending the first Women’s Resist March and feeling inspired by my ladies, I went to Harmony at the start of the draft season 2017 with the intention of creating and captaining the first all-female draft team. Her approval and agreeing to be my co-captain was all it took, and the Nasty Women were born that day. As a direct result, the all-women’s league was later formed within Varsity Gay League.
“Harmony was a fierce athlete, a loyal friend, a natural comedian, a hard worker, an adventurer, team mate, confident, and a gem of a human being. I will miss laughing with you, being silly, and our time together as adult athletes stemming from Wednesday night practices to battling it out together on the baseball diamond. You truly were one of a kind. RIP my sweet friend. 💔 😭”
This loss is what family and friends will not recover from in a long time as she was a rare gem.
Her family will reveal her obituary, with subsequent time.
