One person was killed and three others were injured in a shooting that ended late Thursday night in Walton County, Georgia due to an officer-involved gunshot. The suspect, a 21-year-old man from Georgia, will face charges. According to the sheriff, the suspect is a man named Gunner Cole, who lives in the Georgia town of Warner Robins. After receiving a call of shooting on Highway 98, deputies responded to the area of Heron Walk Drive and Baytowne Avenue East in Sandestin, as reported by the sheriff. According to Sheriff Adkinson, Cole fired at the responding deputy as he was in the middle of the road. After returning fire and wounding the deputy, Cole was immediately captured.
