Grace Pauley, AHSTW Comm. School District injured in car accident

She was severely injured and had to be life flighted to University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC)

UPDATE: According to the Pott County Sheriff’s Office, Grace Pauley was operating an SUV on West High Street heading westbound at around 7:23 p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle and overcorrected, causing it to roll over. Pauley was pronounced dead at the scene. The Chevy Trailblazer entered the ditch after going off the road to the right and landing in it. During the collision, Pauley was thrown out of the vehicle and injured.

Grace Pauley Car Accident – Grace Pauley, a sophomore at AHSTW Community School District was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Monday, September 18, 2023. She was severely injured and had to be life flighted to University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). Pauley is adored by her family, friends, and community and they are praying for strength for her. Some even took to social media to share words of encouragements urging Grace to keep fighting.

The police are investigating the fatal crash and the report of the accident has not been released to the media. Our prayer are with Grace Pauley. According to Jamie Calhoon Evans, Grace Pauley has been a staple in the family for many years she started as a friend and became Zane’s favorite babysitter shortly after. A fundraiser was started titled Amazing Grace Fundraiser 2023.

A woman from Avoca passed away when her vehicle collided with a rock wall early on Friday morning in Iowa County. According to a statement released by Chief Deputy Austin Durst, the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a crash involving a single car at approximately 2:25 a.m. on Friday morning near the town of Clyde, which is located at the crossroads of Highway 130 and Highway 133.

According to Durst, Megan R. Engebretson, 38, was operating a motor vehicle in the direction of the south when she drove past an intersection and into a wall, causing significant damage to the front end of the car. According to Durst, the Iowa County Coroner’s Office arrived on the scene and declared Engebretson dead at the scene. According to Durst, the inquiry into the crash is still ongoing.
