Erin Fraser Death – Erin Fraser passed away suddenly. The Executive Director of the Savannah Regional Film Commission confirmed dead on Friday, 3 March, 2023. The news of death has deeply saddened and devastated the hearts of many, learning of her sudden passing. Savannah Economic Development (SEDA) announced the news of her death in a Facebook post.
SEDA said that they were themselves really privileged to have had the opportunity to work with her. We are heartbroken at the loss and offer her husband, her three children and her family and friends our condolences.” said the Savannah Economic Development Authority President and CEO, Trip Tollison.
On Dec. 13, 2022, Erin was pronounced SRFC executive director. During her tenure as executive director she made a long lasting impact on the office and the entertainment production community. The entertainment production industry veteran made such a positive impact in Savannah. She exuded such a dazzling and upbeat spirit that attracted others to her like a magnet. It was anticipated that she would have a significant impact on Savannah.
Erin Fraser Career
Erin started her career in the entertainment production industry as a senior assistant to Saturday Night Live’s Lorne Michaels. While working for him, she contributed to the creation and launch of Conan O’Brien’s Late Night and worked on films such as Wayne’s World 2, Tommy Boy, and Black Sheep. She was subsequently selected as a producer for Broadway Video, Michael’s production firm.
Erin was born April 23, 1969, in New York City. She completed her secondary education at Sleepy Hollow High School in Tarrytown, NY where she graduated top of her class. Inthe school she was known to be a track star. She later went to Oxford College of Emory University and served on the Oxford College of Emory University Board of Counselors.
She tied the knot with her husband, Jay Fraser III on Sept. 6, 1997,. They both had three children, all whom are either alumni or current students at Emory University.
