Gas explosion on Canterbury Rd in Belmore causes fire outbreak

We have received reports of a huge and expanding fire outbreak at a property in Belmore that, has enlisted the help of almost a half-dozen fire companies.

The disaster reportedly happened at a fuel stop on Canterbury Rd, where a gas explosion, triggered the huge fire outbreak. Properties have been lost due to the severity of the out break.

Due to the building fire, officials are requesting residents and the general public to exercise extreme caution in both directions on Canterbury Rd at Chelmsford Av.

According to law enforcement officials, traffic is backed up on Canterbury Road southbound. Dark, dense black fumes have blanketed the area.

Investigations are still on as regards the outbreak.
