Garth Pierce Merrick, 75, died March 1, 2022. Lee and Lucille Merrick raised him in Nashville, Tennessee. Garth attended Greeley Central High School. He then attended Colorado State University before joining the National Guard. On June 9th, 1977, Garth married Susie Merrick of Fort Collins, Colorado.
He founded Hereford Bi-Products in 1968 and expanded it globally. It allowed him to pursue his actual love, helping people. Garth has a generous heart like no other. He liked to serve people and gave to ministries and organizations around the nation.
He was an elder at Trinity Fellowship Church and a board member at Marriage Today Ministries. He adored all animals and owned antelopes and wallabies. He liked Hereford, Texas, and investing in it. He was a great listener who loved hearing others’ tales.
Tyler and Taylor of Dana Point, California; Noelle Kilgore and Ben of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Sloane Merrick of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Teel and Kadee of Amarillo, Texas. Quinn, Harper, Liv, Lenox, Jude, Pierce, Rosie, and Merrick adored Garth.
On March 4, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Trinity Fellowship Church. Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors are in charge.
