Frank Thiessen Death – Irvine School student, Frank Thiessen has passed away after a long battle with cancer. He suffered the deadly illness for he tragically died. As a result of this incident, the people of Irvine School been left heavily heartbroken and devastated. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him for his evident impact on the school community. Condolences and tributes have been poured in from family and friends.
As a Grade 8 student, Frank profoundly impacted our school community. Frank was well-loved by all staff and students as he always had a smile, a great sense of humour, and loved to laugh. Frank was always polite and had a helping hand to lend to anyone who needed it. He had a knack for getting along with everyone, including his peers and teachers, and our younger students adored him as well.
Who was Frank Thiessen?
Frank Thiessen was a beloved student of Irvine School. Following the tragic news of his death, the school community has expressed their sincere shock, paying tribute to dearly beloved Frank who will be forever missed for his impact. Frank was known as a “well-rounded student” who enjoyed playing volleyball on the “A” boys’ volleyball team. He also enjoyed the game of basketball with his friends. He was known as a very good overall athlete.
Frank also had a creative side. He was a whizz in Foods class and was working on sewing a quilt right before he fell ill. In times like these, we must come together as a community to support one another through the grieving process. We understand that losing a classmate can be overwhelming and evoke many emotions in our students. Counselling services have been arranged and are available for all those who may require assistance across our Prairie Rose school community.
Cause of death
Frank died after a long battle with cancer. “As a tight-knit community, we will support one another and remember Frank’s incredible spirit and impact on our lives. We will honour his memory by fostering an environment of compassion, understanding and unity.” said Irvine School in a recent social media post.
