According to authorities, a 68-year-old man, Frank Abate Jr. died on Sunday after a tree he was assisting to cut down collapsed on his head. Hillsborough police said they were called to a Riverside Drive residence at about 11:32 a.m. Sunday for a report of an unresponsive guy in the driveway.
According to authorities, the victim was struck by a tree and the 911 dispatcher was notified. When authorities were notified they attended almost immediately and sadly the 68-year-old died at the accident scene.

Members of the Hillsborough Authorities Department, Robert Wood Johnson Medics, Robert Wood Johnson EMS, New Jersey State Police Medevac, and the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene, according to police.
