Four Family Members Die In Accident And Child’s Body missing After: A lorry struck the family’s car from behind at Tenwek Bridge, causing it to crash into River Nyangores in Bomet County, killing four people, including a kid. The car was driven into the river by a lorry moving in the same direction as it was, and then the swollen river’s waters carried it away.
As the car sank into the river, their attempts to save the occupants were in vain. Three bodies entangled in the debris and the vehicle were recovered from the river by divers from the Bomet County Disaster Management Department.
Residents had to step in to stop it from being washed further downstream.
The body of a young person who was in their company is still missing, according to Bomet Central Sub-County police commandant Musa Omar Imamai. Divers have set up camp by the river to hunt for the youngster’s body, according to Imamai, who stated they think the infant was swept downstream.
“We have recovered the bodies of three people—a male and two female—but we have not yet located the body of a child. Our divers, with the assistance of the public, have set up a tent to look for the missing child,” Imamai continued. Witnesses claimed that as the lorry got closer to the bridge, its brakes failed and the driver lost control of the vehicle.
