Ford Mclain-White Obituary, Vinita Man Dead In Grove Motorcycle Accident; A Vinita man died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash, according to Grove Police Chief Mark Morris.
Ford McClain-White, 22, passed away on May 28, following the accident, as reported by an accident report.
On May 27, around 3:30 p.m., McClain-White was traveling northbound on Main Street. He passed several vehicles in the outside lane before approaching the 18th Street intersection.
A witness reported that McClain-White appeared to be driving at a high rate of speed and ran a red light at the Main Street and 18th Street intersection, colliding with a vehicle.
McClain-White was thrown from his motorcycle and was airlifted by helicopter to a hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
The investigating officer noted the presence of an alcoholic odor, which came from a broken vodka bottle found in McClain-White’s backpack, the report states.
