The University of Oklahoma Shooting Investigations – At least five dozen law enforcement agencies are responding to a report of an active shooter/shooting at the University of Oklahoma’s Van Vleet Oval E in Norman, OK Friday night. According to unconfirmed reports, multiple persons have been injured following the shooting incident. Multiple law enforcement agencies are currently reporting to shooting scene where everybody has been urged to avoid at this time.

The University of Oklahoma is urging everyone to avoid the Van Vleet Oval at this time. According to post by the University of Oklahoma, students have been urged to following the active shooter Run, Fight, Hide active shooter ethics as officers continue to investigate the incident. All we know is that a number of persons have sustained injuries following the ongoing incident. Multiple ambulances are on the scene of the incident.

OU-Norman Emergency: There is an active shooter at the Van Vleet Oval. Take immediate action now. Run. Hide. Fight! Repeat: There is an active shooter situation on the OU-Norman campus so please take safety precautions until the all clear has been issued.

An update from the OU-NORMAN Emergency at 9:45pm reads; OUPD investigating possible shots fired on Norman campus. Avoid South Oval area. Shelter in place. This is an active incident.

FINAL UPDATE: Law enforcement agencies confirms that no injuries was located at the campus, no suspect or suspects, although responding officers heard shots, but investigators are thinking the sound was from fireworks. “No victims found, no suspect or Suspects found, although Law Enforcement heard shots, it may of been fireworks, and with many buildings being cleared, Law Enforcement is beginning to believe that this may be some sort of Hoax, and with fireworks being used to make those responding, believe that it were gun fire. Law Enforcement still searching and no all clear as of yet.”
