Felix DeJesus Missing- After having contact with Paterson police officers, a member of a New Jersey family reports that they are desperate for answers after the disappearance of a family member. “This is a very difficult time for the family. Felix DeJesus, 41, went missing nine months ago. According to Giovanni DeJesus, the elder brother of DeJesus, “We have been searching everywhere, but we haven’t been able to find anything.” In February, Felix DeJesus was reported missing by his family. The video was taken from a body camera worn by a police officer and shows some of his final moments.

Family statement

At the beginning of the encounter, Officers Jacob Feliciano and Dodi Zorrilla of the Paterson Police Department are seen handcuffing DeJesus and attempting to place him in a police vehicle. According to members of his family, DeJesus was inebriated. Officers from the police department were dispatched to a bodega after a lady reported that DeJesus had grabbed her. She decided against pressing charges against him. There is no footage available that shows what happened after that. Due to the numerous infractions, the policemen have been given a three-month suspension each. It is thought that they disabled the body cams they were wearing.

Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh claims that the officers took DeJesus to a park in the area and left him there. “They did not behave in accordance with the rules. Sayegh asserts that the individuals in question did not play any role in the disappearance of Mr. DeJesus. He claims that after that, DeJesus was seen at the park with a group of other people. “According to the mayor, the last time Felix DeJesus was seen, he was not with these police officers but rather with five other people, one of whom is being investigated as a possible person of interest.
The Paterson Police Department has had a very long history of problems, and this is the most recent one. Sayegh has just removed the chief of police from his position. Because of their assault on a civilian, the officer in question was discharged. In addition, a number of police personnel have been accused of robbing and torturing local inhabitants. There is a growing chorus of people demanding that the county prosecutor resign because she failed to prevent this tragedy from occurring while she was in office.

Corey Teague said

“According to the activist Corey Teague, who works in the neighborhood, the situation “becomes puzzling, and it becomes exhausting because people begin to assume that nobody cares.” The DeJesus family has expressed their suspicion that the cops who were involved are withholding information from them.
“If someone sees my brother, either in the morgue or the hospital, please get in touch with the family,” Giovanni DeJesus says.
Since DeJesus was a resident of Haledon at the time of his disappearance, the Haledon Police Department is continuing its investigation into the case of the missing person. Family members believe that the officers should not have left him at that park because he was under the influence of alcohol. People believe that he ought to have been left at a hospital or brought to the headquarters instead.
