UPDATE: Farmingdale Stabbing – According to the Nassau police, a man from Bellmore was charged with attempted murder after they say he stabbed someone outside of a restaurant in Farmingdale early on Sunday morning. According to the police, Martin Carpio, 35, went into Dominican Restaurant 4, located at 305 Main St., and got into an argument with numerous customers while he was there at 2 a.m. The disagreement became physical, with people pushing and shoving each other, according to the police.

According to the police, Carpio and the person he was arguing with moved outside onto Main Street at some point. According to the authorities, Carpio then attacked a male who was 21 years old, causing the victim to suffer severe cuts and a punctured lung. According to the authorities, a man who was present with the person who was stabbed then hit Carpio, causing him to fall to the ground unconscious. According to the police, when the officers arrived, they transported both Carpio and the guy he had stabbed to nearby hospitals.
Carpio was taken into custody and charged with two counts of attempted murder in the second degree, one count of assault in the first degree, one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. According to the police, he will not be arraigned until he is physically able to do so.
