Last night, we lost a beautiful soul. Ethan, you were way too young to be taken from us, and I honestly don’t have the words to describe how heavy my heart feels for your family and your closest friends. I remember after taking these videos how you told me “bro, you’re gonna be famous someday! Keep pushing and inspiring everybody!” And I’ll never forget it for the rest of my life. I think Ethan would have wanted me to show the world him doing what he loved most, and I’m grateful I got to know you in your short time on this earth. Keep popping wheelies and smiling up there brother. Until we meet again
Ethan was a well known male in high school. He was athletic and loved his family. Ethan Delaney was a participant in the 2020 Mansfield News Journal All-Star Classic players. His grandpa Mark Delaney bought all the Classic Players their jersey after the game was cancelled due to coronavirus. The game which was slated to hold in 2020 was cancelled after the deadly Covid-19 broke out, and since the proceeds from the game supposed to cover the cost of the jerseys, canceling the 42nd annual Mansfield News Journal All-Star Classic meant canceling the banquet.
So Ethan’s grandfather and grandmother Beth and Mark DeLaney Sr. who were an Ontario business owners learned that the Class of 2020 wouldn’t be receiving jerseys, they jumped into action and paid for all the jerseys. Ethan’s death is a loss to the Mansfield community at large.
