Erik James Faulhaber Death – The entire George Washington Carver Elementary community is mourning the tragic death of their beloved teacher and coach who passed away Monday. 30-year-old Erik James Faulhaber died from an apparent suicide at the Valley View Bridge in Cleveland, Ohio. The incident happened on the I-480, according to reports, multiple officers with the Cleveland Police Department arrived at the location after receiving reports of a suicidal person attempting suicide by jumping.
Arriving officers located the male who on seeing the officers warned that if anyone tries to get closer to him, he was going to jump, an onlooker narrated. Law enforcement agencies attempted to talk him out of the disastrous attempt but the elementary school teacher eventually jumped off the bridge. He was located on the ground, in a drainage ditch, below the IR-480 bridge in the vicinity of Canal Road, according to the Cleveland Ohio remembrance page, and was pronounced dead at the scene. According to reports, this is the third suicide incident to occur at the 4,150 feet long almost 200 feet above the Cuyahoga River Valley Bridge.
According to claims, the male was a father and a teacher at the George Washington Carver Elementary School located at 2200 E 55th St, Cleveland, OH. He was fondly addressed as Mr. Haber by his students and co-teachers. The reason for the deadly incident is not known at this time. The entire school community is now sending multiple condolence messages and tributes to the family. The incident happened in broad daylight. The George Washington Carver School has not released any official statements following the incident at this time.
