Emily White Death – Emily White, a mother from Batavia who was riding crossing Route 31 on Tuesday, May 23, when she was struck by a minivan and taken to the hospital, has been said to have passed away as result of her injuries. According to the reports, White was about to exit Les Arends Forest Preserve to cross Batavia Avenue toward Millview Drive when she was struck by a minivan travelling north on Batavia Avenue, as was reported by Patch.
The early investigation indicates that the driver of a more recent Honda minivan was heading north on Batavia Avenue when it hit the biker, who was preparing to depart Les Arends Forest Preserve and cross Batavia Avenue in the direction of Millview Drive, according to the officials. White was transported by helicopter to the Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. According to the authorities, none of the people who were riding in the minivan were hurt in any way.
During the course of the investigation, the police forced the closure of Batavia Avenue between Mooseheart Road and Sycamore Lane for more than two hours. Until the investigation is still ongoing, the police have stated that they will not be releasing any additional information until they are receiving assistance from the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team.
She was pronounced dead Friday, May 26, around 4:48p.m. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has information related to it is urged to call the Investigations Division of the Batavia Police Department at 630-454-2500. According to a GoFundMe page created by Lisa Duchek, Emily is a devoted wife, the doting mother of five beautiful children, and a dear friend to a large number of people. She would be the first person to provide assistance to anyone who was in distress or required it.
