Emily Hardisty Death – The United States Air Force senior airman Emily Hardisty passed away on July 21, 2023. She was in her 25th year. She passed away due to ovarian cancer. Emily Hardisty reported to the 354th Medical Group Clinic at Eielson Air Force Base on February 9, 2021. During the appointment, the doctor in charge of her treatment performed a straightforward urine analysis.
She was given the all-clear and given the phrase “good to go” by him. According to her medical records, the urine tests did reveal the presence of mature cancer cells; however, she was not informed about this nor monitored for it. After a few days had passed, Emily eventually called in ill. She was in such much anguish that she couldn’t even breathe properly. Despite the fact that she tested negative for the virus, medical professionals told her she had CoV.
Emily was taken to the emergency room later that day by a fellow Airman because she was having trouble breathing. It was determined that she was suffering from “acute tonsillitis” after the attending physician observed a mass developing on the side of her neck. After receiving antibiotics and fluids through an IV, she was eventually discharged.
In spite of the fact that her illness was getting worse and she was calling in sick more frequently, her MSGT insisted that she undergo a physical fitness exam in July of 2021. She was unsuccessful in each of the events, and she finished off the test by vomiting massive volumes of blood and bile. Later on in the month of July, five months following the onset of her initial symptoms, she was referred for a CT scan at the Bassett Army Hospital located in Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
A few hours later, Emily found out that she had a tumor developing out of her left ovary that weighed 10 pounds. After many days, the patient underwent surgery, which revealed that she had advanced (stage 4) ovarian cancer that had spread throughout her body. Following treatment with chemotherapy and radiation, her cancer reappeared and continued to spread throughout her body. Ultimately, she succumbed to it.
On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at three o’clock in the afternoon, a Celebration of Life for Ms. Emily Danielle Hardisty will be place at Christ Church in Oakdale. The Reverend Greg Willis and the Reverend Brian Thompson will preside over the event. After the funeral, the interment will take place in Wisby Cemetery in Pitkin, and Rush Funeral Home in Oakdale will be in charge of the arrangements.
