Elianne Adnan Death – Law enforcement agencies are investigating after a 15-year-old girl passed away in a deadly stabbing while on the way to school. A 17-year-old teenager identified as Hassan Sentamu who was the boyfriend of the victim was taken into custody in New Addington; authorities have been granted another day to speak with him. On Thursday night, relatives came to the attack location; a sizable group gathered near a bus stop inside the police perimeter. According to a statement from Elianne’s family, they are “overwhelmed by sorrow and grief,” which was read by Bishop of Croydon Dr. Rosemarie Mallett.
The statement read, “As a family, we are finding it difficult to accept this terrible tragedy that has befallen our lovely daughter and cherished sister Elianne.” “Elianne loved Jesus and was a stunning woman on the inside and out. She had a great future ahead of her and was kind, thoughtful, and intellectual.”
Elianne passed very soon after paramedics, police, and an air ambulance were dispatched to Wellesley Road, close to the Whitgift Centre, on Wednesday at roughly 8:30 BST. The Old Palace of John Whitgift School student, a year 11 student in Croydon, was attacked shortly after she and her classmates got off a double-decker bus. Witnesses claimed that other bystanders and the bus driver attempted to save her.
The “absolutely shocking” idea that “a girl not much older than my own kids would have their life just cruelly ended in that way” was expressed by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. It just serves to highlight how crucial it is to crack down on knife crime. “Everyone will be looking at that and be as shocked as I am, appalled by what’s happened, and quite frankly angry.” On Thursday, a post-mortem examination will be conducted.
The Metropolitan Police’s Det Ch Insp Rebecca Woodsford stated: “My thoughts and the thoughts of my team are with Elianne’s family.” They are going through a really trying moment, and we will do everything in our power to help them.”We’re still investigating, and things are moving along nicely. We have spoken with several witnesses and recovered CCTV from the area. The scene has also been inspected by forensic experts.
We are now certain that Elianne was attacked outdoors on Wellesley Road close to the bus stop rather than inside the vehicle thanks to our investigations.” Before thanking “the people of Croydon for the support they have shown us as we have carried out our inquiries in the town center,” she said that Elianne’s death had left “many people feeling upset.”
