Last night, March 3, 2022, Rhode Island and the minority community as a whole lost a wonderful one. For Cape Verdeans, he was the director of the URI Amilcar Cabral Foundation, which brought groups of students to Cape Verde every year for hands-on study, which Toney DaMoura started and which he maintained after his death.
It’s tough to put into words the incredible job he accomplished quietly and successfully, but his death will leave a huge hole in many communities in the United States and throughout the world.
The obituary of Earl Smith, has not been released yet, but we plead with you to keep the family in your prayers.
