Chris Wagner Obituary, Death, Rehoboth Beach, Chris Wagner died of Cancer
Dylan leaves behind two children and a baby girl due in August. He passionately cared for his girlfriend Hailey. He will undoubtedly be watching over her, their girls, his son Carter, and Carter’s family. Dylan grew up with his two sisters, Audrey and Desiree, and was blessed with two more siblings, Madison and Riley, when his father remarried. He lived in the Iowa City area for most of his life with six years spent in West Branch during his childhood. He loved both places and made lifelong memories and friendships everywhere he ever went.
Dylan loved to have fun. He was always the funny guy in the room that could make anyone smile. He took on life headfirst and spread joy to all who loved him. His loyalty to his family and friends was never questioned. He was the kind of guy who had your back if you needed him, no matter what. He enjoyed baseball and football, especially the White Sox, Texans, and of course the Iowa Hawkeyes! Dylan couldn’t turn down a game of pool or darts and could always find the bright side in any situation. His inner child truly never left him, and you could always find that mischievous little boy his sparkling beautiful hazel eyes.
He had fond memories of summer vacations with his Hahn family in Wisconsin and loved going to the Wisconsin Dells. He adored going to Camp Ewalu in Strawberry Point, IA in the summers of his youth, catching crawdads and learning about God’s love and creation. Dylan had a special way with babies and animals. His presence could calm any crying child, and his sister often called him the dog whisperer. He loved his sister’s dog, Marley, as his own. As a child he loved spending time at his dad’s auto shop, Johnson’s Auto, watching him fix cars. He also enjoyed the times his dad took him hunting.
Dylan was extremely close with his family. He loved his “Mama” deeply and would have moved mountains for her. He was also inseparable from his sisters and would have fought for them if they ever needed him. There was also no doubt that he was a Grandma and Grandpa’s boy! The bond he had with his grandparents was unbreakable and anyone who knew Dylan, knew that. The relationships he had with his many aunts, uncles, and cousins were tightly bonded, and he loved them all very much.
He loved being a daddy. Being a father made Dylan glow with pride. He was his daughter Harper’s favorite person in the world, and he will live on forever through his beautiful children.
Dylan is survived by his children Carter and Harper and an unborn daughter; his significant other Hailey; mother Beth Hahn (Rodney); father Brian Hahn (Traci); sisters Audrey (John), Desiree and Madison; stepbrother Riley; grandmother Grace and grandfathers Bruce and Rick; aunts Mariah (Steve), Gianna (Mike), Camie (Patrick) and Christie (Brian); uncles Josh and Derek; nieces Isabel and Sam; nephews Jack and Isaac; and cousins Ceanna, Makayla, Austin, Kaylee, Briar, Archer, Callie and Elliott, and numerous extended family and friends.
