The APD reports that both of them are in a critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle that veered into the opposite lane of traffic was also taken to a nearby hospital where they are currently listed in critical condition. A sixth person, who was a passenger in the second vehicle that was struck, did not sustain any injuries and is currently cooperating with the Austin Police Department.
