Dustin Barnes Cause Of Death, Obituary Not Yet available – Dustin Barnes, a Mississippi journalist, was found dead on his couch in his Nashville residence just days after suffering a heart attack. He was 38 at the time. And, guess what? I can’t do this in an official voice because Dustin is laughing his head off in the afterlife as I attempt to keep it together while writing about the incredible, loyal, and humorous light in the dark that he was.
According to darkhorsepressnow.com, Dustin was a fantastic author. We met while working at The Clarion-Ledger and have remained friends throughout our careers in journalism. He went on to work for the Tennessean and later USA Today in Nashville, while I went into television and then started Darkhorse.
Dustin had received numerous awards over his life. Hundreds of AP, Gannett, and USA Today prizes, as well as any other accolades you can earn, I believe. I’m not sure how to name them all because with all my murder and mayhem, I never really impressed many judges.
He did, however, win all of them. He was a master of social media and hot subjects, but he could also write classic stories that would grab your attention, tear your heart out, or drive home a point like a heat-seeking missile.
