Driver killed in Accident involving disabled vehicle on I-20/I-285; A tragic accident occurred shortly after midnight on May 29 near the intersection of Interstate 20 eastbound and Interstate 285, resulting in the death of a man. According to Atlanta police, a 2013 Audi A4 collided with a disabled 2005 Ford Explorer that was stopped on the right-hand side of the road.
The male driver of the Audi was unresponsive when police arrived and, despite the efforts of Grady EMS personnel, was pronounced dead at the scene. The collision also impacted the five male occupants of the Ford Explorer, with three requiring hospitalization for treatment.
The Atlanta Police Department’s Accident Investigations Unit is currently examining the circumstances surrounding the accident. The investigation remains ongoing.
