The death of an armed woman by police in Little Italy has sparked outrage
Community activists are voicing concerns over a police shooting that killed a woman suspected of stabbing a police officer in San Diego.
According to fox5sandiego.com, The Alliance of Chinese Americans in San Diego wants answers from the sheriff’s department, according to members. Dr. Yan Li’s death, according to some, could have been avoided.
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department revealed body-worn camera footage of three sheriff’s deputies and an officer confronting an armed Li, which resulted in her death.
“I was thinking there might be some justification for the police shooting, but then I watched the entire 10 minutes of video, which is terrible and difficult to watch,” Sunny Rickard of the Alliance of Chinese Americans in San Diego said.
