Dr. Alex Mastakov Death – Dr. Alex Mastakov who was known for working as a veterinarian at The Unusual Pet Vets has sadly passed away. He died on Friday 14th April 2023 after battling with cancer surrounded by his beloved family and loved ones. He was announced dead on Saturday by The Unusual Pet Vets in a post that says “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a dear friend, colleague, and incredible veterinarian, Dr Alex Mastakov, from our Sunshine Coast practice”.

After earning his degree in veterinary medicine from James Cook University in 2013, he had experience in a range of mixed, small animal, and avian/exotic animal practices across the states of Queensland and New South Wales. After that, he moved to Gatton in order to complete a residency in avian medicine and surgery at the University of Queensland in 2018, as well as a postgraduate degree in the field of veterinary clinic science under the direction of Dr. Bob Doneley.
In addition to earning a Master of Veterinary Medicine degree from Massey University, he has also worked at the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital, where he did an internship in avian medicine and surgery. He graduated from my residency in Avian Medicine and Surgery in 2021 and became a member of the Avian Chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2018.

His interests in avian pain management, anesthesia, and surgical procedures are quite strong. Dr. Alex had the unique ability to make each and every occasion in which he participated into one of the happiest and most remarkable experiences that any individual could have ever had. This was as a result of the affable demeanor he exuded and the infectious grin he sported, both of which spread happiness to those around him.
In the course of his life, he has had the good fortune to meet and form relationships with a wide set of people, which has allowed him to amass a sizeable group of friends and a vast store of memories. As a result of this good fortune, he has been able to build a large number of friends.
