At Blackwell’s Corner on May 7, a U-Haul truck collided with a tanker. Beith was driving the U-Haul when the accident occurred, according to the Taft Midway Driller News.
According to taftmidwaydriller.com, preliminary investigation, the U-Haul was traveling east on SR-46. A tanker making a left turn onto westbound Highway 46 collided with the U-Haul for unknown reasons. At Blackwell’s Corner in Kern County, a fatal U-Haul accident occurred.
The driver of the U-Haul was discovered unconscious when emergency teams arrived at the scene. The victim was given life-saving efforts by paramedics, however, he died as a result of his injuries.
Donald Lavern Beith was recognized as the deceased by the Kern County Coroner. The crash caused moderate injuries to at least one tanker occupant, according to authorities. Personal details about the injured party were withheld pending confirmation.
