Paterson city’s 6th homicide for the year has just been recorded as Divan E. Tejeda, was fatally shot dead on Market Street near Route 80 in Paterson. We really don’t know how safe residents are but we believe the law force is doing all they can to restore peace. The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office carried out investigation, and found out the identity of the victim.
According to law enforcement sources, the shooting occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the area near the Bonfire banquet hall, however the business was closed at the time of the shooting and appeared to be unrelated to the incident.
Authorities saw the man lying on Market Street and rendered help before transporting him to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.
