A 66-year-old woman was found unconscious and with a towel in her mouth when they arrived, and they declared her dead then and then. Numerous prescription bottles were discovered, but the room didn’t seem to have been disturbed, according to the police.
After bringing her to the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office, authorities are awaiting the autopsy’s findings. An active suspicious death investigation is underway, according to officials, and no weapons have been discovered or anyone detained.
