The “Upside Down” first appeared in the state of Iowa thanks to a family who lives in the town of DeWitt, which is located in Iowa. Andrew and Jessica Goodall, along with their children Ella and Harrison, are all major fans of the show “Stranger Things,” and they spent a weekend bringing the show’s most recognizable characters and components to life. The Goodall family consists of Andrew and Jessica Goodall.
According to kwqc the Goodall family took part in the “Home Alone” display contest the year before, but in order to distinguish themselves from the other entrants, they decided to take on a more challenging challenge this time around. On any given evening, the show may be seen on Brookview Drive in DeWitt, and according to the Goodall family, the best time to view the display is around the time when the sun goes down.
The most significant portion of the exhibit is devoted to the most recent season of ‘Stranger Things,’ but the Goodall family says that there are tidbits and pieces from all of the previous seasons dispersed throughout the exhibit. The most recent season of ‘Stranger Things’ aired on Netflix in 2017. This exhibit has everything, including a recreation of “Castle Byers” from the first season as well as the entrance to the “Upside Down.”
Who came up with the idea?
Andrew Goodall stated that the most of the ideas came from his wife. “We received inspiration from all types of just the characters we encountered, and she’s the one that drew the majority of it out all of it,” “We drew ideas and inspiration from all different kinds of people that we came across.” We think it’s awesome when people take their time and say things like, “And then she [Jessica] painted it, and then I cut it, and it turned out really cool.”
Isn’t the whole idea to bring some lightheartedness into the seriousness of the situation? We watch the show frequently and enjoy it very much. To put it more simply, we want everyone to have the very best experience that is possible. Because of this, you might argue that it was our very own spin on the television show “Stranger Things.”
