He laid everything on the line to serve us.”

Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer was cowardly shot while working tirelessly to serve the community on Saturday evening, according to Sheriff Robert Luna’s statement. According to an earlier report, Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer was shot while inside his patrol car. Deputy Ryan was shot on Saturday, September 16th at approximately 6 p.m. He was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
Who was Ryan Clinkunbroomer?
According to LASD, Ryan Clinkunbroomer was a 30-year-old Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department veteran with eight years of service. He rendered exemplary service to the Antelope Valley and Palmdale communities. Deputy Ryan was assigned to the Palmdale station in July 2018 and has worked hard as a field training officer for the past 1 and a half years. His family adored and cherished him, and everyone else did as well.
Ryan was a third-generation deputy because both his father and grandpa worked for the agency, making him more than just one of the deputy sheriffs. His veins were pumping with service. He exemplified courage, selflessness, and a dedication to justice. Deputy Ryan was a beloved member of the community and a loyal family member.
LASD Extends Condolences
LASD extends its condolences to Deputy Ryan’s family. “Our hearts go out to his family. We cannot fully understand their pain, but we will stand with them in solidarity and support them during this difficult time. They deserve unwavering compassion, and we will do everything in our power to provide them with assistance and care. The LASD also promised to bring the suspects to justice. “We will use all of our resources to bring the suspects responsible for the murder of Deputy Clinkunbroomer to justice.”
