Dennis will be greatly missed by all those who had the privilege of meeting him and more by those who never did. Since the news of his death surfaced, many have not hesitated to share their sincere prayers, thoughts and condolences with the family of Dennis as they mourn his tragic death in this very sad and difficult time. He will be dearly missed by many.

Dennis was one who was known to have a prodigious grasp of the art of this country. “Reid lead myriad trailblazing curatorial initiatives in his posts at the National Gallery of Canada and the Art Gallery of Ontario, training hundreds of emerging scholars through his teaching at the University of Toronto.
