What happened to Demetrius Ingram?
Wednesday morning in University City, Missouri, there was an accident that resulted in the death of three males who were 15 years old. The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Cpl. Dallas Thompson stated that all three of the boys were inside the vehicle that collided with a house on Groby Road near Mulberry Lane at approximately 7 a.m. on the day of the accident. According to Cpl. Dallas Thompson, when the officers arrived, they discovered the vehicle lodged inside a residence that was unoccupied; nobody was there.
A crash report filed by MSHP indicates that the Hyundai Accent was moving eastbound on Groby Avenue, east of Gay Avenue when it was involved in the collision. The driver was going too quickly for the conditions, and the vehicle was approaching a left curve without taking proper precautions. The Hyundai drove off the right side of the street, colliding with the house and damaging the front of the vehicle in the process.
According to Thompson, there was no one living in the residence. According to the report, the three little boys were all pronounced dead at the scene of the incident. Ladue High School was the only school in the Ladue School District where both of the boys were enrolled, according to a representative for the district. She stated that in response to the accident, the district would be deploying crisis intervention teams as well as school counselors to other schools throughout the district.
