Debra Duff Death – After a disagreement between the couple in the woman’s household in Princes Town, police are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death. It is anticipated that an autopsy will be performed on 56-year-old Debra Duff this week in order to identify the cause of her passing; nevertheless, the first police report indicated that her passing was the result of an accident.
Princes Town couple’s disagreement
Duff, who is 56 years old, reportedly got into an argument with a male relative who is 60 years old about her not answering the phone at 10.20 p.m. on Friday and sprayed him with pepper spray, according to the initial information. The man rushed into a room on the second floor and closed the door behind him, but Duff continued to pound on the door and insisted that the man open it.
After some time had passed, the man stated that he had heard a smashing sound and had subsequently discovered the woman laying on a concrete tile step that led down to the area that served as the downstairs living room. Although an EHS ambulance was dispatched, the on-duty medical professionals were unable to save her life.
Duff was transported to the Princes Town District Health Facility, where she was pronounced dead at approximately 12.15 in the morning the following day. According to the report, she had a two-centimeter wound on the back of her skull; however, the attending physician was unable to ascertain what caused the injury. The officers entered the home and removed a red canister that they believe to be the pepper spray.
Yesterday, when reporters from Guardian Media stopped by her house on St. Croix Branch Road, her relatives declined to respond. The police in Barrackpore are conducting an investigation. In an unconnected event, a farmer in Couva who was watching after some cattle that were grazing in a field came across the body of a guy who had been dead for some time.
Around 1.15 in the afternoon, the farmer made contact with the authorities and led them to a dirt lane that was off of Ajodha lane in Milton Village. The feet of the victim were bound together with a white cord, and duct tape was used to hide his face. Although the authorities were unable to identify him, they noted that he had a tattoo of a scorpion on his back and that it appeared as though he had been shot on the right side of his head.
The deceased individual was of African ethnicity and stood approximately five feet nine inches tall. The body was found wearing black boxers and blue three-quarter length pants. The Homicide Bureau and the Couva Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation.
