Death: Girl Killed While Riding Bike – Victoria Bastos, 11, was killed by a pickup vehicle while riding her bike at a Bridgewater crossroads on Saturday night, and the neighborhood is rallying behind her family.

According to the fundraiser, Victoria was riding her bike with a friend on a residential street on Saturday, April 2 when she was hit.

Maria A. Toribio, 22, of Bridgewater, struck Victoria at the intersection of Fulton Street and 3rd Street, according to Bridgewater Police Officer Kevin Florczak.

According to, Bridgewater Township Police arrived at 6:08 p.m. and took the girl to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Somerset, where she was declared dead, according to Florczak.
