Austin Peay State University wrote; “Today, we celebrate the life of Dr. Robert Riggs (APSU president from 1976-1987), who passed away yesterday at the age of 79. He was instrumental in Austin Peay’s strong relationship with Fort Campbell and the creation of two centers of excellence – creative arts and field biology.”
