Rick Turner Cause Of Death, Obituary Unavailable – Rick Turner is said to have died according to reports. At the time of this publication, the circumstances behind the deceased’s Cause of death had not been made public.
According to China Cats, “We’re deeply saddened by the loss of Rick Turner of Rick Turner Guitars, where Scott has worked as office manager for many years. Rick was a true pioneer on many fronts and his contributions will live on for generations. The Grateful Dead wouldn’t have been the same without Rick who designed and built Wall of Sound.
Many of Jerry Garcia’s early guitars and Phil Lesh’s custom basses — including those by Alembic, the company Rick co-founded with Owsley Stanley and Ron Wickersham — were built by Rick’s two hands. Many other musical legends would play Rick’s instruments. He is considered the father of boutique guitars. We are sending heartfelt condolences to Rick’s children Ethan and Juniper, and the rest of his friends and family.”
StewMac, a Facebook user, shared the death news of the deceased through a Facebook post online saying, “We’re deeply saddened by the recent loss of Rick Turner. As an acclaimed guitarmaker and a huge influence in the luthier community. Rick has been an iconic figure in the industry since the 1960s. Over his lifetime, Rick created and worked on instruments for some of the biggest players in the industry including the Lindsey Buckingham, Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh, and David Crosby.
Additionally, Rick was a founding partner of Highlander pickups, Alembic guitars, and Duncan Turner Acoustic research. He also holds the patent for the carbon fiber guitar neck.”
My heart goes out to the family and friends during this difficult time. Please accept my condolence. Good people make their exit from this planet faster than evil people. Rest in peace.
