Death: A hiker from New Jersey was discovered dead in Washington state, and it is suspected that he was high on mushrooms.
Officials suspect a New Jersey woman who went missing during a trek outside of Seattle last Friday was under the influence of psychedelic mushrooms at the time of her death.
According to nypost.com, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office, Alisonstar Molaf, 25, of Ridgefield Park, was hiking with a friend when they became separated on a trail in Gold Bar, Washington, in the Cascade Mountains.
Authorities say Molaf’s body was discovered in the Wallace River on Saturday morning by first responders. The other hiker did not sustain any injuries. The local sheriff’s office told NJ Advance Media that the two hikers were under the influence of mushrooms. “It looks that the fatality was unintentional.”
