Death: Lead Singer Of Austin Band Nané Daniel Sahad Has Died At Age 29 – Daniel Sahad, the lead singer of the Austin-based funk/soul band Nané, died on April 10th at the age of 29. On Monday, April 11, the band announced Sahad’s death on Instagram.
According to mysanantonio.com, “It is with great sadness that we must inform you that our beloved leader, Daniel Sahad, died away yesterday night. Please give his family and friends the time and space they need to grieve. “Thank you all,” read the statement.
Nané performed in City Hall during an intermission during last week’s Austin City Council meeting, and Sahad died three days later. Thursday, April 7 has been designated as “Nané Day” in Austin by the Austin Economic Development Corporation.
The band was preparing for a number of spring and summer shows, including a performance at Gonzales’ Float Fest.
