On Sunday, Jim passed away from cancer. All of his friends, coworkers, and radio family members here at WMEV will miss his unique skill, his always present sense of humour, and his passion to the radio station and his listeners. His wife, daughters, grandchildren, and extended family are in our thoughts and prayers.
93.9 WMEV, a Facebook user, shared the death news of the deceased through a Facebook post online saying, “After a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, April 10, 2022, with his wife, daughters, and brothers in law with him, WMEV’s Jim Mabe went home to be with the Lord. His listeners meant the world to him. While this news is sad and not the outcome we were hoping and praying for, rest assured he is live in the broadcast booth in Heaven. Keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as the days to come will undoubtedly be tough, we will update with further information when it’s available. In the meantime, keep mowing your half of the yard.”
