According to news24.com, The Kekana family confirms the untimely demise of international fashion designer, son, father, and brother Lebohang Quiteria Kekana (38) following a brief fight with cancer,” the statement begins, before the family requests privacy and thanks to the public for their support.
“The Kekana family is grateful for all of the personal words of love and support that have been received thus far. “In due course, the details of his memorial and funeral will be confirmed,” the statement adds.
Last year, when speaking with TRUELOVE about his cancer battle, the designer revealed that he had been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a malignancy that develops in a type of white blood cell known as a plasma cell. He also explained how the numerous specialist visits and procedures he had to undertake had taken a toll on his income.
