Death; Emma Morgan Spurlock, 22, President EKU College Republicans, Technician at Advanced Animal Care in Richmond Has Passed Away: On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, Kentucky, Emma Morgan Spurlock, 22, of Richmond, Kentucky, departed for her eternal home. Born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 8, 2002, Emma was the cherished daughter of Barry and Candace Grubb Spurlock.
Emma had just received her honors degree from Eastern Kentucky University and was an active member of the Southland Christian Church in Richmond. Her membership on the Madison County GOP board and her participation in the College of Young Republicans demonstrated her dedication to her community and political goals. Emma committed her professional life to animal care, working as a triage technician at Advance Animal Care in Richmond and at Pet Smart.
Emma was fortunate to have her family’s love in her life. Along with her siblings Emory, Amber, Alaina, and Evan Spurlock, she is leaving behind her parents, Barry and Candace Spurlock. She also leaves behind her maternal grandparents, Virgil and Georgia Grubb, and paternal grandparents, Bobby and Marilyn Spurlock. The members of Emma’s extended family who are grieving her loss include her fiancé Mikey Younger, her aunt Lindsay Westerfield and her husband Rondall, and her uncle Joshua Grubb and his wife Ashley.
Emma Morgan Spurlock will be remembered during funeral services at the Southland Christian Church in Richmond, Kentucky, on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Rev. John Ward and Rev. Jason Koerner will preside over the services. Manchester Memorial Gardens in Manchester, Kentucky will be Emma’s last resting place. On Friday, starting at 12 PM, friends and family are welcome to attend Emma’s life celebration and pay their respects. The Southland Christian Church is the location. The Rominger Funeral Home is in charge of making funeral arrangements for Emma. Forever loved and cherished by everyone who knew and loved Emma.
