Death: Destiney Cannon Killed – According to a news release from Copperas Cove police, a female has died from suspected gunshot wounds. Copperas Cove police responded to the 1000 block of Hobby Road at 12:25 p.m. Thursday for a “9-1-1 hang up request for help,” according to the news release.
“Its so sad what happened to her… Nobody deserves that. R.I.P Destiney Cannon. She was such a sweet person when me and Des would go into her store. Gone 2 soon.”
According to kdhnews.com, Officers discovered a male and a female with apparent gunshot wounds when they arrived. The woman died on the spot as a result of her injuries. According to authorities, the individual was transferred to Fort Hood’s Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center and is in stable condition.
The identity of the dead female has been suppressed pending notification of her nearest of kin. The incident is being investigated by the Cove Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
