A man slain in a shooting in Melbourne on Sunday night has been named; police are still looking for suspects
As police resumed their search for suspects, the man shot Sunday night in Melbourne was identified Tuesday morning. After receiving reports of shots fired, police discovered Bobby Lewis, 50, of Melbourne with numerous gunshot wounds in front of a home in the 2300 block of Canal Street in south Melbourne at about 11:45 p.m. Sunday.
According to finance.yahoo.com, A person inside the house was captured by police and taken in for questioning. There have been no arrests. According to authorities, at least one individual approached the residence and fired shots at it, with someone inside the house returning fire and striking the gunman.
This was the 13th homicide reported since the beginning of the year. Police said on Tuesday that they are still looking for witnesses and anyone who was involved in the incident.
