Death: Bertie O’Mahony Has Died, What Happened? – Bertie O’Mahony has passed away unexpectedly according to a Facebook post on April 7, 2022. Bertie was a Member of the Douglas Hall AFC club according to Douglas Hall AFC, which announced his death.
Douglas Hall AFC wrote; “It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of one of Douglas Hall’s greatest Clubmen, Mr. Bertie O’Mahony, Gartan Pk. For the older generation, Bertie was a legend, the ultimate Clubman, and did so much to make the club what it is today. In the early years all club gear, the few footballs, and water bottles were left in Bertie’s house. He organized so much, especially the small jobs, from Southside leagues to Senior. In the link, there is a clip from the end of one of the club’s greatest days, MJC final 1988, RIP Bertie.”
