According to Westlake Girls High School, a Facebook user, shared the death news of the deceased through a Facebook post online saying, “It’s with great sadness we acknowledge the passing of former Principal Alison Gernhoefer, QSO. Alison was Principal of Westlake Girls High School from 1982 until 2011, and our Administration Centre is named in her honour. We pass on our condolences to Alison’s family, and remember her outstanding achievements over almost 30 years serving our school.”
